About the Fair

GTS-RSEF is open to students from over 100 middle and high schools in our 13-county region (Bryan, Bulloch, Candler , ,,, , Chatham, Effingham, Emanuel, Evans, Jenkins , Liberty, Long, Screven, Tattnall and Toombs).

It is affiliated with the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), the world's largest international pre-college science competition.  ISEF annually provides a forum for more than 1,500 high school students from over 50 countries to showcase their independent research. ISEF is the premiere science competition in the world exclusively for students in grades 9–12.

GTS-RSEF is one of 21 Regional Fairs in Georgia that take place at the beginning of the year. The top 15% of winners will be moving on to the Georgia Science Engineering Fair (GSEF) and possibly on to the International Science and Engineering Fair.

Awards are presented to the top category winners and overall top projects. In addition to GTS-RSEF awards, local and international organizations donate Special Awards to students who excel in specific areas of research.
